Our cat collars are made with special break-away buckles to keep your cats safe. These buckles are used exclusively for cats. If your cat's collar catches or gets caught on something, the struggling of the twisting and pulling cat will cause the break-away buckles to open and release or free the cat. This is important for cats who are able to roam the yard where it is possible to catch on a fence, under the deck or porch, on the wood pile, and so forth.
Please do not use a break-away collar with a leash.
