To test them, we took a 1.5" martingale collar that had been worn and washed mulitple times, attached it to the back of our full-size van and pulled my 1991 Oldsmobile Cutlas Cierra out of the garage. It worked. The collar is fine. Why did we do this? We felt that if we could pull that car on a flat surface, the collar was very strong. This collar was made just like all our regular collars with fine cotton fabric, bonded suiting weight interfacing, and regular hardware with no additional webbing.
